This charming East End neighbourhood is known for its Victorian row houses (the largest number of any area in North America, according to the Cabbagetown Preservation Society). Vintage clothing stores and health food stores are a colourful addition, and the list of coffee shops is almost too long to list so we’ll quickly point you to Jet Fuel Coffee, a favourite of ours which has the benefit of being a ten minute walk from 561 Sherbourne. Many eclectic restaurants are on offer, from Caribbean fare at Mr. Jerk to cute bakeries like Absolute Bakery to perennial favourite for Italian F’Amelia. On weekends, head over to Cabbagetown Farmers’ Market for delicious goodies in beautiful Riverdale Park. Best of all, Cabbagetown is steps from downtown and on the subway line!
This growing North York neighbourhood is probably most famous for its Bayview Village Mall, which has everything from a spa to a health juice bar to high end labels like Stuart Weitzman and staples in the form of The Gap. The food scene is also not one to miss, with options like Tabule, which offers fast casual Middle Eastern Fare, and Good Karma, with it’s all-organic Indian cuisine.
