Grandravine Community Recreation Centre
The Grandravine Community Recreation Centre is a multi-functional community centre with an amazing outdoor pool. Their pool is well-maintained and clean with lifeguards stationed on the premises, which makes it perfect for both beginners and seasoned swimmers. They also have an indoor drying pad, a dressing room, and a multipurpose room. If you’re going with a group of friends or your family and the group has diverse interests, they have other fitness programs such as yoga, tai-chi, roller skating, and bocce. This recreation centre is wheelchair accessible with parking spots available, and they even provide Wheel-Trans pickup and drop-off services close to their entrance.
Gord and Irene Risk Community Centre
If you like to be active while trying new sports, Gord and Irene Risk Community Centre can be your new go-to spot. Not only do they have a gorgeous outdoor pool, but they also offer a variety of swimming programs for different age groups. Their swimming programs and helpful staff make it a suitable option for those who are just starting out. Joseph Bannon Park
This park is one of the neighbourhood’s crowd favourite because it’s perfect all year round! The splash pad at this park is well-maintained, safe, and fairly large so it is perfect for the kids to run around, play, and cool off. They also have three playsets out of which one is suitable for babies, one for toddlers, and one for older kids which makes this spot a great option for kids of all ages. For the adults accompanying the kids, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables to sit back, and relax while the kids run around!
Lifetime Fitness Vaughan
If you’re someone who likes to stay active in style, this is the place for you! This luxury gym in the heart of Vaughan has an outdoor and indoor pool with fresh towel service that will make you feel like you’re on vacation. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisure swim or a competitive one, they have separate zones for each with certified lifeguards. Rexdale Park
Rexdale Park has one of the best splash pads in the neighbourhood. The structures are fairly simple but the splash pad is huge with plenty of sprinklers, so even if there are more than a few kids at the park, there’s enough space for everyone. With an abundance of green space that doubles as a playing field, this spot is perfect to spend the day with your family while being surrounded by nature. This park also has a sandbox and two sets of playgrounds suitable for kids of all ages. One of the endearing features of this park is the duck pond, so be sure to check it out on your next evening stroll!
