Finding those perfect dining spaces around your neighbourhood can be a little difficult given how hectic life can be, BUT, finding these fun little oases can be key to having a perfect date or outing (even if you’re not a foodie). We’ve assembled a list of 5 new dining spaces that are trending right now, near you. Warning: try not to lick your screen as you follow along on these sumptuous restaurants. Miami Beach Grill
Miami Beach Grill is that little taste of authentic Cuban food that you have been looking everywhere for! This casual dining experience offers healthy portions of barbeque food cooked with great Latin flare. With the meat cooked right before your eyes in an open-concept kitchen, this unique restaurant has your mouth watering as soon as you sit down. The dining space has amazing specialties like the Carne Asada with Spanish Rice, the Miami Short Ribs, and finally the Chimichurri Chicken; all of which are to die for! We also recommend trying their huge servings of Cerviche and the house-made nachos.
Amalfi Coast Ristorante
Amalfi Coast Ristorante is another trending dining space that really puts extra attention into their house-made meals. Still a bit of a hidden gem, this Italian restaurant does fresh pasta, bread … basically fresh everything! This food is exceptional – starting with the house-made bread and excellent olive oil/aged balsamic, to the crispy calamari and perfectly cooked pizzas, to the fresh pastas and mouth-watering desserts. Our personal recommendation is their signature Scialatielli, a special pasta dish that is out of this world. Of course their Funghi and Margherita pizzas are some of the best flavours you will ever try. Don’t forget to save room for the Grand Marnier lava cake too; you’ll be fighting each other for the last bite.
CopaCabana Brazilian Steakhouse
CopaCabana Brazilian Steakhouse may not be the newest restaurant on the block, but this chain dining spot is seeing a lot of trending interest lately with their new Vaughan location! If you have never been to a CopaCabana yet, you are in for a treat. A little on the more expensive range, this spot is known for it’s all you can eat meat skewers that are brought right to your table. In fact, the servers go around so often that you’re never left wondering when they’ll be back. Ranging from numerous amounts of beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp, and salmon, there are so many different flavours you have to try that it would take up pages and pages just for us to rave about this broad menu. There is also a separate buffet for cold and hot items included as well. The cold buffet offers a variety of salads, cold cuts (such as salami and prosciutto), cheeses (such as shaved Padano, blue, and cheddar), a variety of breads, pastas, and vegetables. The hot buffet has several pasta dishes, potatoes, and various other hot sides. This place is definitely an experience and a nice change from your everyday dining.
Chartreuse
The first thing you’ll notice about Chartreuse when you enter is the stunning classic atmosphere that the restaurant provides. Quiet, perfect classical music plays in the background as you’re lead to a table set with two pink roses and a simple white candle creating a romantic and magical ambiance. This cosy little dining space is a perfect little getaway with perfect light and tasty meals to leave you satisfied and smiling. The classic menu offers many options that are sure to become quick favourites for even the most picky eaters. Our favourites were the duck (served with a sweet berry sauce featuring hints of cinnamon) and salmon which were both wonderfully flavourful and cooked to absolute perfection.
Sorrento Ristorante
Sorrento Ristorante has been getting some trending attention lately because of the great service and authentic house-made food. It’s the little touches that really make a dining space memorable, and Sorrento Ristorante knows this. Complete with a friendly and attentive staff as well as an owner who will come table to table to say hello to the patrons, this restaurant really makes you feel at home. Of course, the food is something to experience in and of itself! This is the epitome of Italian servings: homemade pressed pasta served in generous portions cooked al dente so that the sauce has room to be absorbed into the noodles. We highly recommend the lobster ravioli with tomato cream sauce and the seafood pasta; the ravioli dish balances perfectly with the rich, creamy sauce pairing perfectly with the cheesy ravioli, and the seafood pasta is incredibly fresh and full of flavour.
