There Is An Excellent Transportation Network In Place

That’s because there is good public transit here courtesy of Durham Region Transit, which connects with several neighbouring transit systems, such as GO Transit, the TTC, VIA Rail, and York Region Transit. You can get to downtown Toronto in just under an hour by car or by transit. Oshawa is also well connected to the surrounding towns and cities in all directions—thanks to a number of convenient highways. You can get to Ajax, Whitby and Pickering in under 30 minutes and Scarborough or Markham in about an hour. Highway 401 passes right through Oshawa and connects to Highways 412, 418, and the 407 ETR.
